On the morning of 16th of January, the conference of employment and business startups in 2017 was held in the meeting room in the Multi-purpose Building, which reviewed the work of employment and business startups in 2017 comprehensively and brought up new requirements for the future. The conference was attended by the President Zhen Zhongyi, Managing Vice President Zhang Jianmin, Vice President Zhang Ziyan, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President Wang Zhimin, the Head of Schools, and the Vice President responsible for students management, and hosted by Liang Zeguang, the Head of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship as well as Director of Career Guidance Centre.

In the conference, Liang Zeguang gave a detailed report about the work in 2017, including good and bad sides, conveyed the Report on the Supervision of College Students’ Employment and Entrepreneurship issued by the Education Department of Hebei Province, and the spirit of the Notice about 2018 National College Students’ Employment and Entrepreneurship issued by the Ministry of Education. He emphasized that, in 2018, it is important to follow graduates’ career development, stimulate informatization, help students who have problems etc. Meanwhile, he pointed out that HBAFA would cooperate with Mycos to follow graduates’ career development, and survey the students’ quality continuously.

The President Zhen Zhongyi, Vice Presidents Zhang Ziyan and Zhang Jianmin also delivered a speech respectively on the conference. President Zhen Zhongyi pointed that each school should provide high quality service with honesty and dredge work channels. He emphasized that it was important to strengthen the connection with alumni and make the work solid. Meanwhile, he asked the Student Help and Management Centre to play a role in the work and bring the Academy good fame.

Zhang Ziyan, Vice President, proposed that we should unify thinking, depend on people, give instructions based on detailed classifications, and reflect ourselves actively.

Zhang Jianmin, Vice President, stressed once again that all the Schools should attach importance to students’ job and entrepreneurship, which could lead the Academy, and realize the significance of graduates’ career feedback. In addition, we should make overall arrangements, be pertinent, learn the spirit of documents and study national policies.

The conference summarized the shortcomings of employment and entrepreneurship in 2017, deepened our understanding of the work, and gave clear guidance in 2018. We will work harder, make breakthroughs constantly, push the the work of employment and entrepreneurship to a higher step, and bring it to a new journey.
