From April 19 to 20, Chen Guying, world known scholar, and Li Zhengang, specially-appointed professor in Hebei University, came to HBAFA to give a lecture, named The Introduction to Gua Ci and Yao Ci in The Book of Changes. The lecture, which is the continuation of the same topic lecture in the last semester, covers the post thirty-four parts of Gua Ci and Yao Ci in The Book of Changes.

Under the arrangement of Chen Guying, Doctor Wu Baolin in Peking University, Doctor Wang Shuaifeng in Hebei University, Doctor Ma Qing and others explained the basic definition of Gua Ci and Yao Ci. Then, Chen Guying and Li Zhengang gave comments and summarized the lecture. This method got good effect with participants’ favourable comments. After the lecture, Zhang Jianmin, Managing Vice President, gave calligraphy and seal cutting works to Chen Guying as presents.

It is known that Chen’s lecture is the first activity of the teaching plan, “Inviting Famous Teachers in Peking University to Class”, in this semester. The plan will be continued in the future, which will provide excellent academic feast for the teachers and students.
