On April 6, Guan Hanqing and Wang Shipu Research Center of Hebei Province was founded in Hebei Academy of Fine Arts. The nameplate was unveiled. The unveiling ceremony was attended by Zhen Zhongyi, the President of HBAFA, Pang Yanqiang, the President of Hebei Vocational Art College, Jia Jiqing, the Chairman and Secretary General of Hebei Dramatists Association, Geng Chao, the Director of Local Records Office of Dingxing County, Wang Tao, the Vice Chairman of Guan Hanqing Research Association in Baoding City, Hebei Province and other leaders. The ceremony was hosted by Professor Xie Meisheng in the School of Media.

President Zhen Zhongyi introduced the basic conditions of the research center, expressed gratitude to the attending leaders and experts, and made plans for the research centre, which was warmly welcomed by the leaders and guests.

Pang Yanqiang spoke highly of the significance and influence of the research center and analyzed the directions of the center from the perspective of a seasoned drama researcher. Jia Jiqing introduced the adaption and rehearsal of Guan Hanqing’s works, and fully affirmed the historical significance of the research centre and the promotion function to the renaissance of traditional Chinese culture. Wang Tao congratulated the foundation of the research center and expressed the willingness to support the research on Guan Hanqing. Professor Xie Meisheng gave a summary speech.

Finally, Wang Tao, Geng Chao and Zhen Zhongyi exchanged gifts. The meeting ended with the applause of the delegates.
